2020 tax return checklist

Are you ready for your 2020 tax return?

Most UK tax payers won’t ever have to complete a tax return under the Self-Assessment system as they pay the correct amount of tax through Pay As You Earn (PAYE) via their employer. However many of us will have to complete a return to allowing HMRC to calculate how much tax we owe them (or sometimes they might owe us).

With April now upon us, it becomes important to ensure that your tax returns are fully in order.

Supporting the UK healthcare sector

In the current crisis, we will be relying more and more on temporary workers to deal with massively increased demand for healthcare.  To try to do what we can to help, from today One Click Group will halve our normal umbrella margin for all workers in the healthcare sector for the next three months.

We have a fully remote workforce and we are providing a seamless service despite the challenges currently posed by the COVID-19 crisis. If you are a contractor and you’re looking for an umbrella you can rely on or an agency wondering who you can rely on to ensure your contractors’ needs are met, please get in touch.

IR35 changes extended to April 2021

The Government has sensationally given a 12 month reprieve to contractors and businesses being forced to make difficult decisions around their IR35 status in the private sector.  It was announced on Tuesday 17th March that they would be delaying the changes to the Off Payroll rules due to be imposed in April until April 2021.  This is great news for contractors and the businesses who faced being forced to decide on many of their contractors’ tax status and will hopefully provide the opportunity for the measures to be scrutinised in more detail and maybe even scrapped.

Even if the measures are introduced unchanged in 2021 it will give businesses more opportunity to prepare and ensure that they are implemented correctly.

At One Click Group we are able to provide advice and guidance to agencies, end-hirers and contractors on how to navigate their way around the legislation and now would be a great time to get in touch.
